I have used Revo glasses for over twenty years. Older glasses were made in France. Newer ones, all four pairs, !! i have purchased this year, are made in Italy or USA.I have blue eyes, and take my sunglasses pretty seriously as I have spent a lot of time outdoors and often at altitude and I hate fatigued eyes at days end. Clarity and filtration really seems to help in this way.I buy Revos because i think the lens quality and definition is worth the premium, and, i am careful with glasses and always use a case or micro fibre pouch, as a situation allows. One should be aware, btw, that the reflective Revo lens coating, be it orange, blue, green, red is NOT indicative of the lens color. The reflective coating is only that. I have a pair of Blue Water lenses and the coating appears pale/sky blue while the lens itself is dark spectrum neutral grey green lens.I have Blue Water, Open Road and Terra lens in this aviator style. I find the frames to be as strong as my Ray Bans, and simply a strong frame for an aviator style. The temples are not sprung, but I have never had any make with sprung temples in an aviator style. The Terra lens itself is a brown. I have used them in bright Colorado sun, and they are effective, but, as the Revo sight indicates, do not block quite as much light as darker lens, such as the Blue Water. Second, the lens is polarized and is of high grade optical plastic, Serelium, as Revo calls it. Having two pair of Revos with glass lenses, the glass (or crystal as Revo calls it) is better, but barely. Glass is considerably more expensive, and i find it worth the extra cost, but am as happy with non glass. (some lens colors only come in plastic OR glass and not both). The Open Road lens is also brown, but has a slightly more red tint compared to the Terra lens( The Open Road lens is NOT red at all, but brown with only a bit of reddish cast, not unlike a Serengetti brown lens). I think the Open Road is perhaps better for driving in that there is a bit more blue filtering, and a bit more contrast. But , this is really splitting hairs, even side by side, as they are very close. I use both Open Road and Terra for driving and riding my bike, and like them equally.Side by side and in an A/B quick comparison of the same color lens in plastic and glass, the glass is more clear and defined, but barely. These lens are great for sunny to overcast lighting, and do ok in flat light conditions, but they are not like or yellow/orange lens for truly low light and contrast needs.Simply these fit my large face well, stay in place, and have clarity and definition few other sunglasses offer. I prefer these greatly to my numerous Ray Ban aviator styles due to the lens quality. I have come to really prefer brown for driving over the grey green neutral in Ray Bans and others. These sunglasses have an almost mirror look to them and I like them. Got them because they are polarized and swap them out with my mirrored Raybans for different but similar look.Too bad one of the nose piece broke one month into owning them and now I can't even wear them. The company is going through some kind of ownership or warranty change and are expecting a 60 day wait for repairs. These glasses are great, the quality is (of course good). Only thing I am not overly thrilled about is that the lenses are quite a bit bigger than I was expecting so if you have a small head like me you may not want them but other than that these glasses are great.Revo Improved the Desing with this Windspeed but i bouhgt 2 pairs and i had a problem with one. the right Lens Screw got Loose every day. I Am trying the new Racounters in retunr from this Windspeeds.A little smaller than my other Revo aviator glasses. Good priceComfortable, highest quality, love these glasses! No problem cleaning as others previously said they were hard to clean. Great looking too!The fit is perfect and lenses are exceptional. I have owned several other quality sun glasses prior to the purchase of the Revo Windspeed. My husband's favorite glasses good for boating
